The Old Dog on the Porch

There's an old story about a farmer sitting on his porch with his dog laying beside him, moaning and groaning like he's in pain. Neighbor walks up and asks, "What's wrong with your dog?"

Farmer says, "He's laying on a nail."

Neighbor looks confused. "Well why doesn't he get up?"

Farmer shrugs. "Doesn't hurt bad enough yet."
