“A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.”
― John Lennon
I love the song “The River” by Garth Brooks. Truth be told I have been known to sing it with some liquid encouragement. The first line “you know a dream is like a river, ever changing as it flows”. The second verse always gets my mind working overtime.
“Too many times we stand aside
And let the waters slip away
‘Til what we put off ’til tomorrow
Has now become today
So don’t you sit upon the shoreline
And say you’re satisfied
Choose to chance the rapids
And dare to dance the tide…yes.”
I haven’t written in a while. I don’t know why, but I hope to get back at it. I got a couple complements on this blog at Canadian Nationals last week and that made my day. Thank you for that!
I am sitting in my messy basement staring at the wall thinking about the great show we had in Canada last week and how fast it all goes. I haven’t even had time to look at the pictures yet. The saying – stop and smell the flowers has a lot of meaning. I catch myself grabbing my phone to take a picture instead of just watching and enjoying a moment. Fast is good, it is better than being bored, but when you float downstream you don’t need to paddle.
PS. I’m working on a project that I hope to share with you all soon…. I’ll keep you posted.
