If you’re looking for a happy ending and can’t seem to find one, maybe it’s time to start looking for a new beginning instead. – Unknown
Let’s go invent tomorrow rather than worrying about what happened yesterday. – Steve Jobs
As I say most years, “Today is the first day of the 2017 show season.” But this year that is a very different statement. I have a new job and will no longer be training horses full-time. There are many reasons, but the most important one is time with family. Although I have not been blogging as of late I still get many complements on the blog. Thank You! The holidays are coming fast and then it will be the New Year. Resolutions, goals and dreams for what will come are spinning wildly through everyone’s brains.
I am working on a project… (more on that soon) just to keep you in suspense. It has taken more than two years, but I put a little effort into it each week. It’s the same with training and caring for a horse. If a horse is hard to keep weight on and you don’t worry about it until February, he probably won’t look great in June. Now is the time to plan and execute. Even if your horse is performing well now there are things you can make better, make a plan and do it. The best way I know of to ensure progress in anything that you want to accomplish is by making “To-Do Lists.” Every day I write a few more things on my list and then see what I can get crossed off by the end of the day.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to help each other with our lists, keep them up to date and help friends stay on track?
